Byte Canvas Core Bangkok classroom

About

A room that treats the forex chart as a ledger, not as a personality test.

Byte Canvas Core grew out of evening markup sessions in Bangkok’s old commercial streets. We still teach that way: printed candles, spoken invalidation, and a clock that has to live with London opening in the Thai afternoon.

Origin

Arun Wongchai kept a handwritten session journal from a rented desk near Yaowarat while working ordinary Bangkok hours. The journal was not a performance log. It was a record of what he had marked before 14:00 and what the London window then did to those lines. Friends asked to sit in. The sitting became a Tuesday table. The table needed a door and a projector. The door is now at 363 Mungkorn Road.

We did not start a brokerage, a signal desk, or a shop of indicators. The city already has those. What it lacked, in our view, was a place where a trader who can already send an order is forced to defend a zone in full sentences, in front of eleven other people who will still be there on Thursday.

How we work

English is the language on the whiteboard so that mixed cohorts can argue about the same wick. Thai is spoken in the breaks and whenever a student needs a word for leftover auction that English is dressing up. Homework comes back with pencil, not with a score out of ten. If a drawing mixes timeframes, we send it back. If a journal blames a 'stop hunt' for a swing failure, we ask for the candle that actually failed.

Arun Wongchai

Lead instructor

Arun leads the eight-week classroom and the London-open walkthroughs. He still marks his own four-hour chart before he asks students for theirs. He will not discuss other people’s fills, his own included, during a lesson. The work is location, not autobiography.

Chart review and homework

Malee reads the Sunday packs and the posted written reviews. She taught evening adult classes in another subject before she joined the table, which is why the comments come back in complete sentences rather than arrows. If your zone is a decoration, she will say so.

What we will not claim

We do not publish win rates. We do not place student funds. We do not recommend a broker, a leverage figure, or a laptop. Completion of the classroom means you attended the nights and did the markup. It does not mean the next London session will pay you. Thailand has no shortage of confident voices on currency pairs; we would rather be the room that makes you slower on the first wick.

Thailand as a constraint, not a backdrop

Trading discretionary forex from Bangkok means the European open arrives after lunch and the American open arrives after dinner. Students who treat New York as their 'real' session often arrive exhausted on Tuesday. We design the classroom around the hours a person with a Thai working day can actually keep. That is why the flagship meetings end at 21:00, and why the walkthrough is the London window rather than a midnight vigil.
